From September the 6th, I am holding a lecture titled "Building sites in Drupal, an open source content management system". The course is a voluntary lecture for students of SZTE, the University of Szeged Hungary. It's an introductory course that is mostly meant as an eye opener for beginning IT professionals.
I did a “How to de-socialise Drupal” presentation on the 6th of October at the Hungarian Drupalcon. In my presentation I went through the steps you can take to make Drupal behave like a brochure site. I also showed how you can you use the installation profile API and wizard to get a head start when making an installation profile. I didn't finalise the installation profile yet, but I will contribute it to the community when ready.
My presentation slides are attached to this post.
On the 25th of October at 16h30, I'm organising the first Drupal user group meeting for Szeged. All IT professionals and enthusiasts interested in open source content management systems are very welcome.
The meeting will start with a Drupal showcase (CCK, views and taxonomy) that I'm giving in the framework of a series of drupal lectures at SZTE, the university of Szeged. After this presentation we will hold a workshop about Drupal in the region.
